A REVIEW BY ELLIE WETZ I received massages from Zoe Waller during the second trimester of my pregnancy in 2010-11. She had made the room where the massage was to take place very warm, comfortable and inviting. I felt safe and welcome. The massage was excellent. Zoe was very good at explaining what she was going to do when necessary but otherwise she allowed me the time and privacy to relax into the massage. Zoe's touch is exceptional and intuitive. She showed respect and knowledge of my pregnant body, knowing areas that required attention and areas to avoid. Zoe was a consummate professional throughout; clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. I recommended Zoe to friends as my experiences with her were delightful, enjoyable and deeply relaxing. In addition, Zoe offered me and my husband tips and advice for active labour using her knowledge of massage and acupressure points. She showed us very useful positions to adopt during labour and how the birth partner can help relieve pain and stress through massage and motion. Her advice was excellent. We adopted many of her top tips throughout the labour and birth of my daughter which I managed with no intervention or pain relief.

A REVIEW BY LIZ GAULTON Zoe is a close friend of mine but was also my Massage Therapist and Doula when I was pregnant with my second child. Although we have been friends for a long time she always treated me with professionalism and made me feel like I was her client during my sessions with her. She chose to take a real interest in my pregnancy by taking extra time to find or read information for me or draw up diagrams for good labour positions. Zoe's sessions always made me feel completely calm and relaxed and I always wanted to give her hug after each massage because of how she had left me feeling afterwards. Taking real care to spend the day before to talk to me to see how I was feeling emotionally so she could then think about what oils she would mix to suit the mood I was in on the day of the massage. It was because of Zoe's real personable approach that made me want to ask her if she would be our Doula. I felt that because of her genuine interest in my pregnancy and her knowledge of my anxieties around labour (having had a long drawn out first labour that included most medical interventions) I knew that with her by my side I would hopefully have the natural, calming labour that I had desired the first time round. Once Zoe had accepted this and my husband had agreed too I then continued to have regular massage sessions and we discussed what my desires were and the 'Birthing Plan' so to speak. When I went into labour at home I called Zoe and she was there with her oils and strong arms as quick as anything. Every contraction I felt was greeted by reassuring words and all the right massaging techniques you would need to get through those contractions. She used a technique where she pushed down on certain pressure points on various parts of my body which enabled me to not only get through the contraction but also help the labour to progress naturally and quickly. I stayed at home as long as I could bear it and when I finally turned to her and said I needed to go to hospital she rushed into the kitchen to make sandwiches and a flask of tea whilst my husband got the hospital bag and loaded up the car. We got to hospital and 2 hours later I had my baby boy using nothing but gas and air. Zoe was a massive support to me and my husband during the time at the hospital saying all the right things while I was labouring and encouraging me to lean on her and just generally being supportive. When I had given birth she then went the extra mile by running the bath for me in the birthing suite and washing my hair for me and taking care of me whilst my husband held our baby and the midwife got on with her paperwork. It was this little touch that made having a Doula the right decision for me. I would say that what makes Zoe stand out from other Massage Therapists is her genuine desire in what she does and the time she takes to make sure that her clients receive the best experience from her. She spends a lot of time trying to understand what it is that you and your body need in order to ensure that you get the most out of her sessions. I feel truly privileged to have had her as my personal Doula and if she hadn't moved to the other side of the world she would continue to be my massage therapist!

A REVIEW BY CLAIRE NUTT Zoe is an attentive and instinctive therapist with a fantastic knowledge base. We worked together at the Lido in Bristol (U.K.) and Zoe attended some of my training days. As a student her sense of enquiry and attention to detail ensures that she is actively learning in whatever she does. Her touch is supportive, with a combination of depth and fluidity that endeavours to meet the needs and preferences of each individual she works with. Highly recommended. http://www.lidobristol.com/spa
